ABOUT
Our Senior Instructors initially trained and underwent their Instructor training with the “Largest Martial Arts Franchise in the World”, which taught us invaluable lessons in teaching Martial Arts to children. Since being awarded Instructor Status, we have been delivering Martial Arts in Primary Schools to 5-11 year olds since 2008.
Our Instructors have not only trained as Martial Arts experts but have also trained to understand how to deliver fun and engaging sessions to children. All Instructors hold the PE and School Sport NVQ3 award, so they know how to teach Physical Literacy to their Students, allowing us to also teach and educate the Students in Health and Fitness for a better life !
We used to deliver within a Franchise ourselves, but wanted more control over our own destiny, so opened up as Progressive Martial Arts Ltd in Sept 2017.
We believe that our Martial Arts Curriculum allows ALL Students to succeed and gives them a focus and direction. We put the emphasis on being “Inclusive”, so every child that attends our classes gains in confidence and learns how to be a FANTASTIC “team player”.
Our Students and Parents LOVE our Life Skills Programme and every term Students complete tasks towards their goal. We want our Students to become “Great People” and believe the Life Skills programme is a great development tool towards this.
Commitment from Students and Parents is necessary to enable progression within our classes and we strive to be committed as an Organisation to help and support you every step of the way.
Ultimately, we want to teach our Students to be as safe as possible and their Martial Arts skills should be a “last line” of defence, to protect themselves and their family. At no stage should they practice Martial Arts outside of the “Dojo”, unless it’s in the home under Parent/Guardian supervision.
